Basic Coastal Cruising (BCC 103) and/or Bareboat Chartering (BBC 104)

Upon completion of the Basic Coastal Cruising (BCC) and/or Bareboat Charter (BBC) ground school classes, travel to our associate training facility in Fernandina Florida to apply your new knowledge as you navigate the tidal waters of the Atlantic and coastal  waters. You'll gain valuable experience sailing in the bay, offshore, and along the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW).

You should plan your travel to arrive the evening prior to your class trip.

For the BCC class you'll need to make reservations to stay at one of the local Inns during your class since it does not include overnight stays aboard.  To maximize your sailing experience, a "sleep aboard" the training vessel within the marina is an option for an additional $25 pp per night fee.

For the BBC class you will move aboard the evening prior to your class trip.  During the trip at least one night will be spent at anchor and one in a marina where you’ll dine with your classmates by the waterside.

This can be an exotic vacation outing or a challenge of the Basic Coastal Cruising or Bareboat Charter "on-the-water" certification. With special approval, both certifications may be combined for a 5 day class provided that everyone in the class agrees and are strong candidates to challenge both certifications.

   BCC 3 days: $599
   BBC 3 days: $699
BCC & BBC 5 days: $1199

  Advanced Coastal Cruising (ACC 206)
Gain the knowledge and abilities to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel 30 to 50 feet sailing day or night in any conditions. Emphasis will be on seamanship and navigation.

Depending on the season and weather conditions, you'll sail overnight offshore to a destination requiring a night time entry and departure. You will stand watch, navigate and oversee all aspects of the operation of the vessel. All meals, except dinners when in port, are included in the cost of the course.
